Senior Republican on Foreign Relations Committee: Saudi Arabia is not an ideal ally

The top Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives, Michael McCall, believed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was not an ideal ally for his country.

“But they (Saudi Arabia) are a major national security partner against Iran, which is the biggest threat in the region,” Michael McCall added in a statement to US Fox News on Wednesday.

He continued: “When the president comes out and calls them rogues, or when the Houthis bomb them and the Houthis become Iran’s proxies, then the Saudis and the Emirati will jeopardize Ibrahim’s agreements.”

And he added: “It sets a bad tone, and I think it will make the world more dangerous.”

At dawn on Thursday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced at dawn on Thursday that the Kingdom does not accept any dictates and rejects any action aimed at changing the goals it pursues to protect the global economy.

She emphasized that while the Kingdom strives to maintain strong relations with all friendly countries, it at the same time declares that it does not accept diktat and rejects any action or effort aimed at changing the lofty goals it is working towards in order to protect the world economy from oil market fluctuations.
