Klopp praises Salah for his performance against Rangers

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp expressed his joy at his side’s crushing 7-1 victory over Rangers today, Wednesday, in the fourth round of the Champions League Group A matches.

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah scored his team’s seven-match hat-trick in just 6 minutes, despite being substituted in the second half.

“Between the two halves we had a very positive conversation,” Klopp told BT Sport after the match. “We wanted more in the second half. Obviously it worked.”

He added, “A special evening, especially for Mo (Mohamed Salah). How we adapted to the positions and the squad was important. Everyone who started today played very well. This is the best I can wish for. I’m very happy”.

Klopp praised Salah, saying: “He’s a great player, we all know that and he showed it today.”

He continued: “I really think the first half set us up for the second half. When we get into the game, we can be a really good football team. change midfield.

With this victory, Liverpool came close to reaching the last 16 of the Champions League, lifting their lead to 9 points and finishing second in the group, 6 points ahead of Ajax in third place.
