Russia’s Intention to Use Its Fleet in Any Direction: Kremlin Provides Explanation for Putin’s Statement

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia could use its naval forces in different directions due to the tense blockade around Russia from several directions.

Peskov said this today, on Monday, at a press briefing, commenting on the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Defense Minister Shoigu about the use of individual components of the Russian Navy in any direction. The use of naval forces in different directions is associated with a stormy blockade of the Russian periphery from all sides.

Regarding Artemovsk (Ukrainian Bakhmut), Peskov said that President Putin and Minister Shoigu did not discuss the Artemovsk issue, including the possibility of its complete release and control.

Dmitry Peskov also noted that the establishment of the time of the capital, Moscow, as the time of new regions is symbolic, and he considers this very correct.

As for the grain deal, Peskov said that it still has no prospects, as the second part of the agreement, related to paving the way for Russian grain and fertilizers to world markets, is still underway.

In response to Japan’s objection to the exercises of the Pacific Fleet, Peskov said that all exercises conducted by the Russian Armed Forces in the Kuriles are carried out in strict accordance with international law.

Peskov pointed out, in response to a question about the intelligence activities of the United States of America, that the United States has never stopped trying to conduct intelligence activities against Russia, to repel which Russia takes countermeasures.
