Russian Rublev is one step away from the championship "exchange" in Abu Dhabi

Russian Andrey Rublev reached the final match of the Mubadala Exhibition Tennis Championship, which is currently taking place at the Zayed Sports City International Tennis Complex in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.

The Russian player beat the world No. 1 Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, easily defeating him in two unanswered sets: (6-2) and (6-1) in a match that took place between them on Saturday.

And Andrey Rublev (25 years old) met in the final with the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the fourth seed, who, in turn, beat the third seeded Norwegian Kasper Rudd, also in two sets in a row, with one result, six games: two.

It is noteworthy that Andrey Rublev won the Mubadala exhibition title in last year’s draw at the expense of Briton Andy Murray, defeating him in two sets in a row with a score of (6-4) and (7-6) in the final match.

The 14th Mubadala Exhibition Tennis Championship is underway, in which 8 elite tennis players of the world take part. Veteran Spaniard Rafael Nadal holds the record for the number of times crowning the tournament with 5 titles, defeating Serbian Novak Djokovic. who won the title 4 times.
