Russian Presence at GITEX Africa: International Technology Exhibition in Morocco

Morocco will host the GITEX Africa international exhibition dedicated to digital technologies, innovations, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, communications and cybersecurity, with the participation of about 40 Russian companies.

The event, which was organized under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, was attended by more than 900 companies, as well as delegations of various levels from more than 100 countries, including Russia.

Representatives of the organizing committee of the event said: “GITEX Africa International is the largest and most influential event in the field of technology and start-ups in Africa … This is a real technology exhibition for the continent.”

They also emphasized that one of the main goals of the event is “intensive and result-oriented interaction between the public and private sectors on various issues of the digital economy.”

Gaita Mezur, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, said on the eve of the opening of the exhibition that GITEX Africa is a real opportunity to deepen the efforts and work done in recent years in the field of digital transformation and technological innovation.

According to the Moroccan minister, Morocco is relying heavily on this major event to attract major investors, betting on “young talent who excels in digital technology, big data and information technology.”

About 40 companies from Russia take part in the event, including Kaspersky Lab JSC, Yango, Tsifra Group, STC Proteus, Awatera, TKS JSC, SearchInform LLC and BTI.Group LLC “.

It is noteworthy that the GITEX Africa exhibition, which takes place in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh from May 31 to June 2, 2023, is a branch of the world’s largest technology and startup exhibition GITEX Global, which takes place in Dubai.
