Russian Grain Deal Remains Unfulfilled, Nebenzya Reveals

Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that the part concerning the export of Russian fertilizers under the deal to allow the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea has not been completed.

“The Russian part of the agreements has not been fulfilled, and we have been talking about this throughout the year, despite all the efforts of the UN Secretariat and the Secretary General personally,” Nebenzya told reporters on Tuesday.

Nebenzia’s statement was made in response to a question about the prospects for extending the grain deal, which expires in a few days.

Nebenzya asked about this: “What do you expect?”

The Russian diplomat did not disclose details about a possible visit to Russia by the director of the UN Conference on Trade and Development, Rebecca Greenspin.

It is noteworthy that Russia announced that it would not extend the grain deal after July 17 due to the failure to meet the conditions for lifting restrictions on the export of Russian fertilizers and food.
