Russian Foreign Ministry: Settlements in Ukraine are not targets of our forces

Oleksiy Bolchuk, director of the second department of the CIS of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that the civilian areas of Ukraine are not the targets of Russian forces during the special operation.

“Our forces, together with the troops of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, are systematically fulfilling all the tasks set to liberate Donbass, demilitarize Ukraine and eliminate threats from its territory to Russia,” Bolshchuk added.

“Strikes are carried out exclusively on military targets with high-precision weapons,” Bolchuk said.

“Civilian objects and the civilian population in Ukraine are not objects of strikes or target designation,” he said.

Earlier it was reported that a fire broke out in a shopping center in Kremenchug, which was allegedly bombed.

In turn, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Air Force, using high-precision weapons, destroyed the weapons and ammunition of the Ukrainian group of troops that were in Kremenchug warehouses, including weapons from the United States and European countries. The explosion of ammunition caused a fire in a nearby shopping center.
