Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow is unhappy with the transfer of Russian Vinnik by Greece to Washington

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, confirmed that Moscow is dissatisfied with the unfriendly measures of the Greek authorities to extradite Vinnik to the United States.

“Russia does not leave its citizens in trouble. Russian diplomats will do everything possible to protect his legitimate rights and interests,” Zakharova said in a statement.

She stressed that Russia is dissatisfied with the unfriendly behavior of the Greek authorities, who, under pressure from Washington, extradited our compatriot Alexander Vinnik to the United States.

She noted that the active participation of Athens in this other illegal act is another evidence of a course towards confrontation with our country.
