The Russian Defense Ministry reported that it had recorded a violation of the ceasefire regime in the zone of responsibility and the work of the Russian peacekeeping forces in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The department indicated that this violation was recorded in the Askran microdistrict, after which it became clear that there were no victims in this incident.
And the Russian defense added: “The leadership of the Russian peacekeeping unit is conducting a joint investigation with the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides of the incident.”
Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry stated that the Azerbaijani side was spreading disinformation that units of the Armenian armed forces at 02:30 opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the southwestern part of the border.
In turn, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated that Armenian units fired from light weapons at the settlement of Garagach in the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and that the Azerbaijani military took “appropriate retaliatory measures in this direction.”
