Russian Defense Ministry: Joint coordination center for the export of Ukrainian grain begins work in Istanbul

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Joint Coordination Center, in accordance with the terms of the “Initiative of Mutual Understanding for the Safe Transportation of Grain from the Ports of Ukraine”, will begin its work today in a quadripartite format.

The ministry added that the Russian delegation will include a group of Russian experts who will arrive in Istanbul today, where the Russian delegation will be led by Admiral Edward Loek.

The main task of the Russian specialists in the Joint Coordinating Center will be to solve all the tasks necessary for the immediate transition of the initiative to the stage of practical implementation, since the activities of the Russian representatives in the center are under special control by the Russian Federation. Ministry of Defence.

For its part, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that the opening ceremony of the Joint Coordination Center for Grain Export in Istanbul will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu signed two documents in Istanbul aimed at solving problems with the supply of food and fertilizers to world markets, in order to prevent the transfer of weapons and ammunition, as well as to rule out provocations.
