Russia and Kazakhstan prolong the accord for Russian oil transportation across Kazakhstan’s land

The Russian Ministry of Energy announced that Russia and Kazakhstan will extend the agreement on the transit of Russian oil through the territory of Kazakhstan until 2033, subject to an increase in throughput to 10 million tons per year.

And the Russian Ministry of Energy wrote via Telegram: “Russia and Kazakhstan are conducting successful and fruitful cooperation in the energy sector, and during a meeting with Kazakh colleagues, it was decided to extend government agreements for the transportation of Russian oil through the territory of Kazakhstan, with an increase to 10 million tons per year “.

During the meeting between the Minister of Energy of Russia Nikolay Shulginov and his conflicting Kazakh counterpart Satkaliyev, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of electricity with the participation of Russian companies.

The Russian minister said: “We are ready to implement joint projects in the field of construction and modernization of energy facilities, the introduction of digital technologies for current control, since Russia has the necessary expertise and technologies for this.”
