Ronaldo’s future depends on Messi’s contract with PSG.

According to French press reports, the possibility of including Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo in the ranks of the Paris Saint-Germain depends on whether the contract of the Argentine Lionel Messi with the Parisian club is renewed.

It was recently reported in the English media that the French league champion is keen to sign Ronaldo in exchange for the latter’s desire to leave Old Trafford as soon as possible.

However, French newspaper Le Sport 10 reported that Ronaldo’s arrival could only take place after Messi’s departure for financial reasons, meaning that the transfer could only take place after Messi’s contract expired in June 2023.

A French newspaper downplayed the importance of Ronaldo’s relationship with Paris Saint-Germain, noting that the Paris team’s sporting director Luis Campos had already expressed a desire to extend Lionel Messi’s contract for another year or two.

The newspaper pointed out that the Parisians preferred to leave Messi ahead of Ronaldo in 2021, especially since the Argentine has come out on top this season compared to Ronaldo.

Messi appeared in 13 games for Saint-Germain in all competitions, scoring 8 goals and providing eight assists, while Ronaldo scored two goals and provided an assist in 11 games for United.
