Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khosnullin announced on his Telegram channel today, Friday, the resumption of traffic on the second track of the Crimean Bridge railway.
Khosnulin noted that a few months ago a road was opened, and today a second railway line has been opened, so the bridge has been completely restored.
A Russian official said: “Today, traffic was opened on the second railway track of the Crimean Bridge. The builders accomplished a real feat by repairing this important facility. Thanks to their selfless work, the entire road section of the bridge was opened last. February, a month and a half ahead of schedule. along the second track of the railway, also ahead of schedule.
According to Khosnulin, repair work on the bridge was carried out around the clock, 524 tons of metal structures were laid.
On February 23, traffic on the Crimean Bridge resumed after it was damaged in a terrorist attack carried out by Ukrainian intelligence on October 8, 2022.
