Real Sociedad foils Barcelona’s championship celebrations in La Liga

Real Sociedad spoiled the celebration of their host, Barcelona, ​​with an early coronation of the title of the Spanish football league La Liga when they defeated them 2-1 on Saturday in the 35th stage of the competition.

Barcelona officially won the Spanish title for the 27th time in their history on the last matchday, beating their hosts Espanyol four goals to two.

Barcelona went into today’s match to celebrate the title with their fans at home, but suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of Real Sociedad.

Real Sociedad scored the goals, Miquel Merino in the 5th minute, Alexandre Sorlot in the 71st minute and Robert Lewandowski scored for Barcelona in the 90th minute.

Barcelona’s balance sheet froze at 85 points at the top of the league table, 14 points behind Real Madrid in second place, while Real Sociedad increased their balance sheet to 65 points in fourth place.
