Real Madrid player criticizes Bayern Munich’s management

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has criticized the administration of Bayern Munich after the decision to dismiss Julian Nagelsmann from his post and assign this task to Thomas Tuchel.

Kroos said during statements published by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo: “What happened was not normal. They said they would support Nagelsmann because it was a long-term project, but the opposite happened.”

He added: “If it was their sporting decisions, let them explain, but at some point they made us believe that they were with him and supported him, and the way the management of Bayern Munich behaved was not good.”

Kroos played for Bayern Munich from 2007 to 2014 before moving to Real Madrid for €25 million.

Kroos left the ranks of the Bavarian due to disagreements with the officials in charge of the German club at the time, and did not agree to an extension offer made to him by Uli Hoeness, the club’s former president.
