The Russian Foreign Ministry said that, despite the suspension of all types of information exchange under the START-3 treaty, the Russian side will continue to voluntarily notify the United States of missile launches.
This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov at a press briefing today, Thursday, where he continued: “From a political and legal point of view, the current situation has led to the suspension of all types of information exchange, as well as other elements of verification activities in accordance with the (new ) by the START treaty. Moscow, as announced in February, will comply on a voluntary basis with the centralized quantum restrictions set out in the treaty and will continue to implement the 1988 agreement to exchange missile launch notifications.
Ryabkov pointed out that the United States of America was violating its obligations under the New START treaty by refusing to notify about launches.
