Rabbi Shalom Cohen, spiritual leader of Israel’s Shas party, died early Monday morning at the age of 91.
Party leader Aryeh Deri mourned Cohen, saying, “In shock and sadness, our father, our teacher, our leader, the head of the Council of Torah Sages, the sheikh of the generation Maran Hisham Shalom Cohen left us in a celestial storm. .”
