Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that in order for Russia to feel confident, it needs a solid background in the form of a reliable and developed democratic political system.
“In order to feel confident, first of all, you need to have a strong background, and this means a reliable and developed democratic political system. I hope that the elections will contribute to this, I have no doubt about it,” Putin said during his meeting with the head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova.
Putin stressed that election commissions should treat all candidates in the elections objectively.
And it will take place in Russia on one voting day on September 11, 2022, when direct elections of 14 governors and deputies to six legislative assemblies and the State Duma consisting of 12 administrative centers will take place.
Pamfilova previously confirmed that Russia’s opponents abroad are now hiding, but will try to disrupt the fall elections in the country and discredit it.
