Putin optimistic about resolution of disputes between Armenia and Azerbaijan through discussions

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed hope that all differences will be discussed during a trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Putin said during a speech at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council: “Today at a trilateral meeting, I think we can discuss all this, and I hope we can agree on what is clear in the field of economic development of the interests of both sides. Azerbaijan and Armenia, and indeed the entire region. It seems to me that we will have time in a trilateral format to discuss everything in detail.”

Today, a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was held in the Russian capital with the participation of the leaders of the unions, which discussed cooperation between the countries of the union in the fields of energy, food security, technological independence, accelerating digital transformation, removing regulatory and trade barriers, as well as infrastructure development.
