Putin arrived in Kyrgyzstan to attend the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived today, Friday, in Kyrgyzstan to attend the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union.

It is expected that the leaders at the summit will discuss the formation of a common gas market and the creation of an interdepartmental council in the energy sector, which will further deepen integration in the Eurasian Economic Union and develop a single market for services.

As planned, the Summit will also approve a full package of documents, as well as the main directions of the Federation’s international activities for 2023.

In addition to the general meeting, Putin may hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit. A bilateral conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is planned.

The next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be the second this year, since the previous one was held under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan on May 27 in the format of a videoconference.
