Britain’s Prince William, head of the Football Association, will not travel to Qatar to watch his country’s team at the World Cup next month.
Prince William is known for his great passion for football and he often takes his son George to watch matches as he traveled to Wembley for Euro 2020 with him, however this time he will not go to Qatar to support the Three Lions. .
Sources close to Prince William, 40, said he has a lot to do over the next six months, including a trip to Boston in early December.
It comes amid criticism faced by Qatar, host of the World Cup, over human rights concerns and its conservative stance on same-sex relationships.
Qatar will host the World Cup final from November 20 to December 18, 2022, becoming the first Arab country to host a big football wedding and the first time in a winter season in the tournament’s history.
