Earlier, Ukraine threatened to boycott the 2024 Olympics if Russian and Belarusian athletes were allowed to participate.
Bach responded to Ukraine’s threat in a letter he sent to the Ukrainian Olympic Committee, in which he said the latter’s efforts to “pressure” other countries to boycott the 2024 Games are “very unsuccessful” for the “overwhelming majority” of the National Olympic Committee .
