Poll: 75% of Democrats oppose Biden’s nomination for president in 2024

Three out of four Democratic-leaning respondents said in a new CNN poll they don’t want U.S. President Joe Biden to be their party’s presidential nominee in 2024.

The poll showed that 75% said they want someone else to be the Democratic nominee in 2024, while 25% supported Biden’s candidacy.

And 42% said they didn’t want Biden to be the party’s nominee in 2024 because they don’t want him to be re-elected president, and 32% said they didn’t believe Biden could beat the Republican nominee in the upcoming election.

55% of Republicans polled said they did not want former President Donald Trump to be their party’s nominee in 2024, while 44% of respondents said the opposite.

A similar poll was conducted earlier this year, showing that 51% of Democrats want a candidate other than Biden to be their presidential candidate in the upcoming election, with 45% of respondents again expressing interest in Biden’s candidacy.
