According to Agence France-Presse, US President Joe Biden announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine, including artillery ammunition and armored vehicles.
The agency added: “U.S. President Joe Biden announced the provision of a new weapons package to Kyiv on Sunday when he met with … Volodymyr Zelensky in Hiroshima.”
According to the agency, the new US military assistance to Ukraine will include “ammunition, artillery batteries and armored vehicles.”
Earlier, the Politico newspaper, citing unnamed officials, reported that Biden at the G7 summit in Hiroshima intends to announce a new aid package for Ukraine in the amount of about $375 million.
The newspaper stated that the new package will include additional ammunition for artillery, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons, “that is, all the same weapons and equipment that were previously supplied to Kyiv.”
