Moscow: Sweden and Finland at the forefront

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said Sweden and Finland were on the front lines with Russia, where Washington and NATO would draw their military approach for them.

“In fact, these two countries have moved to the forefront, and who will determine their military-construction policy is not Helsinki and Stockholm, but Brussels and Washington. It is a fact. We will witness the reproduction of the plans that were during the Cold War,” Groshko said at the Valdai Club.

He added: “By the way, in the context of responding to the radical changes taking place in Northern Europe, one of our response steps was announced – the formation of an additional military corps in the northwest of the country. a fact, but it is a fact that we did not create.”
