The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, expressed Moscow’s hope that the result of an objective assessment of the situation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP would be a visit to the plant by the agency’s mission.
“We hope that this visit, in addition to the constant presence of IAEA inspectors at the plant, will allow the Agency to objectively assess the situation at the site. We are ready to provide the necessary assistance in this regard,” Zakharova said.
She expressed regret that the IAEA report on the inspection of the Zaporizhzhya NPP “does not indicate those responsible for criminal acts,” that is, for the bombing of the plant.
“We know that the Kyiv regime is behind the systematic bombing of the station territory. Western countries also know that they are encouraging these dangerous provocations of the Zelensky regime. They prefer to remain silent, defending their project in every possible way,” she added.
