Today, Sunday, the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports issued a statement clarifying the legal position of Zamalek President Mortada Mansour following the ruling by the Administrative Court of the Council of State to remove him from the club’s presidency.
And in a statement issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, released today, Sunday, it reads as follows: “In light of the ruling issued today, Sunday, corresponding to April 16, 2023, by the Cairo Administrative Court of the Second Circuit, in the lawsuits filed to terminate the membership of the president of the club “ Zamalek” on the basis of what was stated in this lawsuit.
Whereas, the Legal Committee of the Ministry has previously affirmed its continuing interest in the stability of the Zamalek Club organization, taking into account the full compliance with court decisions and their implementation after they are finally and completely rendered.
Although the decisions to terminate the powers of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zamalek Club were previously postponed based on the ruling of the Court of Cassation issued at its meeting on February 25, 2023, due to the existence of four claims, the administrative court is considering this matter.
The Legal Committee of the Ministry of Youth and Sports confirms that action will be taken and judicial decisions will be issued in accordance with the ruling issued by the Administrative Court in Cairo, once it is received and officially received by the Ministry.
And today, Sunday, the Second Circuit of the Administrative Court issued a decision obliging Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, to rule on the exclusion of Mortada Mansour from the presidents of the Zamalek club and his exclusion from the board of directors. .
And the Office of State Commissioners in Court issued a court report recommending that Mortada Mansour’s membership on the Zamalek board of directors be terminated after he was imprisoned on charges of insulting and slandering Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the president of the Al-Ahly Club, in a cassation ruling.
