Market "Wall Street" In the red zone after the decision of the US Federal Reserve

US stock indices fell in trading today, Thursday, after the decision of the US Federal Reserve to raise interest rates to fight inflation.

By 16:40 Moscow time, the Dow Jones index was down 0.71% to 31,919.79 points, while the Nasdaq index was down 1.10% to 10,409.10 points, and the broader Standard & Poor’s 500″ decreased by 2.5% to 3759.69 points.

The decrease came after the decision of the US Federal Reserve yesterday, on Wednesday, to raise the main interest rate also by 75 basis points in order to contain the record inflation growth.

The US central bank is working to counter the worst rise in inflation in 40 years as the US inflation rate reached 8.2% in September last year.
