Three people died from a lightning strike Thursday night in Lafayette Park near the White House, the Washington Metropolitan Police said Friday.
And officials in Washington announced that four people are in critical condition after they were injured in a lightning strike near the White House on Thursday.
A lightning strike struck a small lawn across the street from the White House, causing two men and two women, including a husband and wife from Wisconsin, to suffer “serious, life-threatening injuries,” according to a statement released by the Washington Fire Department.
