Australian mercenary in the Guardian: The Ukrainian army sends soldiers without combat experience to the front

An Australian mercenary shared with the British Guardian newspaper information about the training that Ukrainian soldiers undergo before being sent to the front line.

Australian mercenary Matt Rowe confirmed to the British newspaper The Guardian that the leadership of the Ukrainian army sent recruits to the front lines without training and without combat experience.

“If you ask how many of you have been fired before, the result is that out of every 100 people, only two will raise their hand,” Rowe told the newspaper.

According to the publication, the youngest Australian also does not have much combat experience, when he was at home, he was engaged in gardening and landscaping. And in Ukraine, he was responsible for the training of newly mobilized soldiers.

“Often this is the only training that a newly arrived soldier goes through before being sent to the front lines,” he says.
