Portuguese Coach Jorge Jesus Undecided on Neymar’s Participation

Portuguese Jorge Jesus, coach of Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, said that he has not yet made a decision on Neymar’s participation tomorrow, Monday, at the start of Al-Zaim’s journey in the new AFC Champions League season.

Al Hilal Club Begins AFC Champions League Campaign

Second-placed defending champions Al Hilal Club will begin their campaign in the AFC Champions League group stage when they take on visiting Nawbahor on Monday evening at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium (Malaz) in the capital Riyadh.

Jorge Jesus said during a press conference on Sunday: “Everyone knows that Neymar has the highest efficiency of any player in the world and is capable of showing more. But he is currently feeling some muscle pain and will determine his participation position after Sunday’s training.”

The Portuguese coach added: “I will determine the foreign quintet participating in the match. We decide each match depending on the opponent.”

Promising a Great Performance

Jesus continued: “I promise the fans to show a great performance, just like in the last matches of the Saudi League. I know that Al-Hilal has reached the final and won the championship in recent years.”

Neymar scored for Al Hilal in his first match with Al Zaim in the 63rd minute of the match against their guests Riyadh (6-1) last Friday night at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium (Al-Malaz) in the capital Riyadh as part of the sixth round of the Saudi Arabian League.
