Japanese media reported that former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot and killed during a speech in the city of Nara.
Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was attacked on Friday, was seen bleeding during an event in the western city of Nara and was unconscious, according to local media reports.
Several media outlets, including Kyodo News, Kyodo and national broadcaster NHK, reported hearing gunshots.
