Israeli suicide attempt accused of spying for Iranian Revolutionary Guards

An Iranian-Israeli citizen accused of spying for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attempted suicide on Thursday at her home in Holon, from where she was taken to hospital in critical condition.

According to the indictment filed against her and her partner, the Iranian spy Rambod, who interacted with her on Facebook and then presented himself as a wealthy Muslim bachelor from Tehran with an interest in Judaism and immigration to Israel, Rambod gave her specific tasks and asked her to provide him with certain information.

Although the defendant knew that Rambod was acting on behalf of the Iranian authorities and their intelligence agencies, she sent him information, photos and videos at his request.

In return, she received from him information about what was happening in Iran in order to convey it to the public through the media channels run by her and her husband.
