Israel expresses willingness to share desalination technology with Morocco

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Kaabiye said that Israel is ready to share desalination-related technologies with Morocco and that they can work in the field of transport and infrastructure.

Kaabieh noted that “the fight against climate change provides a promising and important opportunity to enhance cooperation between Morocco and Israel, given the similar climate change concerns between the two countries”, stressing that “Israel has” advanced technologies in areas closely related to action to combat climate change.

He stressed that “Israel can work with Morocco in technology, transport, infrastructure and desalination and is ready to share this with the countries of the region, including Morocco”, calling on the countries of the region to “work together to increase the ability to adapt to climate change and withstand its effects” .

He pointed out that “the achievement of this goal requires a collective, coordinated and joint effort in which all parties participate”, noting that “the resumption of relations between Morocco and Israel has given a new breath to the world”, recalling that “Israel is the home of about one million Jews of Moroccan origin, which are still linked. They have deep historical and emotional ties to their country of origin.
