The Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria recorded two cases of the appearance of drones of the International Coalition to Combat Terrorism on the flight paths of the Russian Air Force.

Admiral Oleg Gorinov, deputy head of the Russian Center in Syria, said today, Friday, that special guidance systems along the route of Russian Air Force aircraft led to automatic shelling of targets.

“Of particular concern are two recorded cases of the appearance of MQ-9 drones of the international anti-terrorist coalition on the flight paths of the Russian Aerospace Forces,” Gorinov said.

He pointed out that in both cases, an impact on guidance systems was recorded, which led to the automatic operation of protection systems on Russian aircraft and firing at false thermal targets.

The admiral stressed that “the Russian pilots showed high professionalism, taking the necessary measures in a timely manner to prevent a collision with coalition drones.”

According to the admiral, during the day drones of the so-called International Anti-Terrorist Coalition recorded nine cases of violation of protocols on non-conflict situations, including seven cases in an area closed to flights due to joint Russian-Russian actions. Syrian maneuvers in northern Syria.

The official said that the Russian side is not responsible for the safety of uncoordinated flights of coalition aircraft, especially in the closed area of ​​the exercises.
