Hazard shares his plans to stay or leave Real Madrid after feeling marginalized

Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard of Real Madrid is still seeking to erase the image of him from his club’s fans, and he will have a year to do so.

Yesterday, Saturday, Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey for the 20th time in their history, beating Osasuna 2-1.

“To complete the remaining year of my contract? Of course,” Hazard told Radio Cadena Ser after the match, which he did not participate in.

“I wanted to play more minutes. It was a difficult year, but with a very big team,” continued the Belgian star, who seemed pissed off during the Copa del Rey title ceremony for Real Madrid players.

The former Belgian international stressed his good relationship with the coach and colleagues: “I have a good relationship with the coach and colleagues. I would like to play, but I know how difficult it is and I know that I need to work to achieve that.”

Hazard’s contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2024 and the player has not achieved what was expected of him since joining the team in the summer of 2019.

He also spends most of his time out of the squad due to injuries.

The 32-year-old has made several appearances this season: 5 in the league, 3 in the Champions League and one in the Copa del Rey.
