The Chinese Foreign Ministry called on the G7 countries to stop interfering in China’s internal affairs and dictate instructions to their government under the pretext of protecting human rights.
“Everything related to Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet is China’s internal affair,” the ministry said in a statement, emphasizing Beijing’s rejection of any outside interference in its internal affairs under the guise of “human rights.”
The ministry stressed “the need for the G7 countries to stop their policy of blaming China on issues related to Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet and to seriously think about their history and human rights violations.”
The G7 issued a statement following the summit held in the Japanese city of Hiroshima, saying that the G7 countries will continue to express their concern about the human rights situation in China, calling on Beijing to “implement its obligations under the China-China Agreement.” -British Declaration and follow the Basic Law of Hong Kong, which gives the latter its rights, independence and self-government.
