France.. Proposal to remove the confidence of Prime Minister Elisabeth Bourne fails!

The proposal of the French “left coalition” to remove the confidence of the government led by Elisabeth Born failed, as it did not receive a majority when nominated for a vote in Parliament.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Yael Bron-Bevy said that the deputies of the National Assembly (lower house) of France did not support a vote of no confidence in the government led by Bourne.

She added that “146 out of 577 deputies voted for the draft resolution, and therefore the majority necessary for the adoption of the proposal was not reached.”
