Bolsonaro: Deliveries of diesel fuel from Russia may start in two months

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announced the possibility of starting the supply of diesel fuel from Russia to his country in two months.

“There is an agreement that diesel fuel can be delivered to us in 60 days. That possibility exists,” Bolsonaro told reporters on Monday.

The President of Brazil considered the sanctions against Russia ineffective, noting that “Germany has lost 40% of its previous gas supplies. European energy is largely dependent on gas imports from Russia.”

“The ruble, which everyone expected to turn to dust, has strengthened its position this year more than any other currency,” he added.

Bolsonaro stressed that Brazil takes a “balanced position” regarding developments in Ukraine.
