Food prices in Lebanon experience highest inflation rate globally

Lebanon tops the list of countries with the highest food inflation rate at 352% due to the high cost of living, which has coincided with high prices for basic goods and services, energy, transport and others.

According to the World of Statistics website, the top ten countries in terms of food price inflation are: Lebanon (352%), followed by Venezuela (158%), Argentina (110%), Zimbabwe (102%). and Turkey (53.92%), Pakistan (48%), Poland (24%), Czech Republic (23.5%), Germany (21.2%), Sweden (19%).

A few days ago, the World Bank said in a report that Lebanon recorded the highest rate of food price inflation in the world rankings, at 261% year-on-year for the period from late February 2022 to late February 2022. end of February 2023.
