Expectations from the grain season: Insights shared by Russia’s Minister of Agriculture

Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev revealed his expectations for the grain season in Russia this year and said that 123 million tons are expected to be harvested, and their number will probably increase during the harvest.

Patrushev said today, Friday, at an agricultural fair: “If we talk about specific numbers, then we now adhere to the same expectations of 123 million tons, of which 78 million tons should be wheat.”

The Russian Minister of Agriculture indicated that the final figure would depend on the harvest and weather conditions.

He noted that this year’s harvest is going according to plan, and at the moment 6 million tons of grain have been harvested, and in the near future farmers will reach the level of one million tons per day.
