Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his country will not remain silent about the attacks and that it knows who is behind them, stressing that his forces will attack all areas where terrorists live inside and outside Turkey.
This happened at a meeting of the parliamentary bloc of his ruling Justice and Development Party in the Turkish Parliament, where he continued that the people and party behind the Istanbul attack were very quickly exposed and he promised to bring the parties behind it to justice.
Erdogan stressed that Turkey has “the right to solve its problems” in northern Syria, and continued: “After the terrorist attack in Istanbul, the real faces of those who shed crocodile tears appeared.”
As the President of Turkey said: “We will solve the problems, starting mainly with Kobani, Tal Rifaat and Manbij, step by step.”
Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s commitment to all of its agreements and obligations related to northern Syria and continued: “Until those with whom we have agreed do not honor their obligations under the agreements, we will take the necessary measures to protect our security and safety. the security of our citizens.”
Erdogan pointed out that officials in Syria and Iraq should not be concerned about our military actions against terrorist organizations in their countries, but on the contrary, they should be reassured that we are fighting separatist organizations that threaten the unity of their countries.
Erdogan said that when he came to power 20 years ago, terrorism in Turkey was the number one concern, now it is on the decline because of the drastic measures taken.
He continued: “In 20 years, 173 Turkish civilians and 153 security personnel have been killed in attacks by terrorist organizations, and over 13,000 members of these organizations have been neutralized in the same period.”
