Erdogan and Macron discussed the mechanism of Ukraine’s grain exports

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, in which he indicated that Ankara expects to quickly implement a plan to export Ukrainian grain.

The Turkish presidency noted that “during the telephone conversation, an assessment was made of the decisions taken at the Quartet meeting in Istanbul on Ukrainian grain.”

Erdogan reminded Macron that “a decision has been made to manage the export operation of Ukrainian grain from a coordination center”, which will be created in Istanbul.

He stressed that the rapid implementation of the plan will contribute to the establishment of global food security.
