Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maait confirmed that 40 million pounds of Fakkah auxiliary coins were offered in July this year, an increase of 10 million pounds, on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha.
Mohamed Maite explained that this increase is due to meeting the needs of citizens and markets in Cairo and the governorates, to facilitate the movement of purchases and sales and to ensure that there are no bottlenecks in parking lots or shops.
The Egyptian Finance Minister noted that “The Treasury and the Mint have witnessed an unprecedented boom in the field of ‘digitization’ over the past few years and have developed working with advanced mechanisms that save time and effort and increase production capacity. coins so that we can offer additional change before the seasons and holidays.
For his part, the head of the State Treasury and the Mint, Major General Hossam Khader, said: “We are striving to provide all the needs of citizens and markets for change with a reserve sufficient for a year and a half,” noting that “in the past few days, there has been a large turnout of citizens at the headquarters apartment. The “Chief Treasury and the Mint” are interested in receiving the change of auxiliary coins and new money intended for donation.
