On Sunday night, security officials arrested five people who threw stones at an Al Ahly fan bus before a match against his guest Ismaily in the Egyptian Premier League.
Clashes erupted between Al Ahli fans and his guest Ismaily ahead of their postponed Premier League matchday 18 match.
Social media trailblazers circulated photos and video clips of clashes between fans of the two teams and an Al-Ahly bus breaking down on a deserted road.

The Professional Clubs Association issued an official statement which it released on its social media accounts stating: “Thanks to the media, it has become a Clubs Association nestled between Al Ahly fans and the Ismailis and the Association is reaching out to the fans. both teams to adhere to sportsmanship.”
The statement added: “The relevant authorities have been informed and all measures will be taken after the end of the match.”
Correspondence between the fans of the two clubs continued in the stands throughout the match, which ended in a goalless draw.
