Egypt and Palestine Condemn Terrorist Attack in Ankara


Egypt and Palestine expressed their condemnation of the terrorist attack that took place in the Turkish capital Ankara and targeted the headquarters of the General Directorate of Security of the Ministry of Interior.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with the government and people of the Turkish state and expressed its sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Egypt also reiterated its firm position rejecting all forms of terrorism and violence that lead to destabilization and terror of citizens.

He reaffirmed Palestine’s support for the Republic of Turkey and its people in the fight against terrorism, and expressed confidence in the ability of the Turkish government and people to resist and defeat terrorism.

Details of the Attack

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said the department’s headquarters was hit by a terrorist attack on Sunday morning by two elements, one of whom blew himself up and the other was eliminated.

Injuries and Conclusion

As a result of the attack, two security personnel were injured during the shootout.
