Eastern Turkey struck by an earthquake

Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said a magnitude 4.1 earthquake hit the province of Van in the east of the country.

According to “AFAD”, earthquakes were recorded at about 1 pm Friday in the Toshba region of Van province.

Turkey’s emergency management said the earthquake was at a depth of 7.01 km, without specifying whether the quake resulted in damage or injury.

Since the catastrophic earthquake that hit Turkey in February last year, earthquakes of various strengths have been occurring in the country from time to time. Less than a month ago, an earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck the Turkish province of Adana, and an earthquake measuring 4.7 was registered. in the state of Kahramanmarash in the south of the country.
