Defense of Russia: Istanbul meeting generally supported Russia’s proposals for the transportation of Ukrainian grain

The Russian Defense Ministry commented on the results of the four-party consultations held on Wednesday in Istanbul between the UN, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine on the issue of opening Ukrainian ports for the export of agricultural products.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said today, Friday, that Russia has proposed measures to the meeting participants to ensure the transport of food to foreign countries, including Russian partners, while preventing these supply chains from being used to supply the Kyiv regime. weapons and military equipment, as well as preventing the use of these logistics chains to supply the Kyiv regime with weapons and military equipment, the occurrence of provocations.

Konashenkov stressed that “Russia’s proposals were generally supported by the participants in the consultations,” adding that work on preparing a final document called the “Black Sea Initiative” would be completed in the near future.
