US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Ukrainian President Oleksiy Reznikov discussed the upcoming meeting on the issue of supplying the people of Kiev with additional weapons in a telephone conversation.
The two sides “exchanged their assessments of security assistance to Ukraine and committed to continue intensive coordination,” the Pentagon said in a statement Monday.
The statement states that the Ukrainian minister informed his American counterpart about developments in Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that the meeting of the Contact Group on the supply of arms to Ukraine is scheduled to be held on July 20 via the Internet.
