Decision to establish the Syrian-Iraqi Business Council

Today, Tuesday, the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade decided to establish the Syrian-Iraqi Business Council.

The formation of the council, according to the statement of the Syrian Ministry, is aimed at increasing the role of the private sector and using its capabilities in the development of economic relations between Syria and Iraq in various areas of trade, investment, industry, agriculture and tourism.

The statement pointed to the importance of the Iraqi market for Syrian export products to meet the needs of the Iraqi consumer.

The decision includes the appointment of Muhammad Nasser al-Sawa as head of the council and Ziad Aubrey as deputy from the Syrian side.
